Each year the Rotary Club of Carson City awards a competitive educational grant to a Carson City Educator. This year's award of $5,000 was earned by Carson School District K-12 Curriculum & Assessment Coordinator Brittany Witter. The grant facilitated the purchase of more than 500 historical fiction and non-fiction, age appropriate books to be used by students throughout the district. At the Rotary club meeting of 5/7/2024, Ms. Witter explained the program's implementation and goals. The Rotary Club of Carson City awards the annual grant as part of its commitment to supporting and recognizing educational achievements.
