Carson City Schools Recognize Carson City Rotary as Legacy Level Partner
Carson City, Nev. (Aug. 31, 2026) — The Carson City School District is pleased to recognize the Rotary Club of Carson City as its August Community Partner of the Month. The Rotary Club has been recognized as a Legacy Level partner for their continued commitment in supporting Carson City students and schools through educational opportunities, community engagement and experiences that enrich student learning beyond the classroom.
“The Rotary Club of Carson City has been a steadfast partner in creating meaningful opportunities for our students, supporting our educators and strengthening the connection between our schools and community,” Superintendent Andrew Feuling said. “Their continued generosity and commitment reflect the power of community partnerships and help us advance our vision of empowering every Carson City student to succeed.”
The Rotary Club of Carson City is recognized as a Legacy Level, the district’s highest level of recognition, because its support aligns with all five goals outlined in the Carson City School District’s Empower Carson City 2027 Strategic Plan.
Goal 1. Exceptional Staff: Each month, The Rotary Club of Carson City contributes to the School District by inviting teachers and staff to be recognized at in-person meetings through their Educator of the Month program. This recognition boosts morale and helps reinvigorate employees. Goal 2: Curriculum That Matters: Carson City Rotary awards a $5,000 check each year to a Carson City School District school, department, teacher or educational program to implement an innovative, classroom-based project. This helps provide students with rigorous curriculum, opportunity knowledge and differentiated supports to help ensure they will be college, career and life ready when they graduate. Additionally, Rotary annually awards scholarships to seniors graduating from Carson High School, which benefits them in higher education after they graduate.
Goal 3: Engaged Parents and Families: The Rotary Club of Carson City also hosts a Carson High School senior at their weekly meeting to recognized them in their “Senior Spotlight” program. The acknowledgement helps strengthens a sense of belonging, boosts self-esteem, builds confidence and encourages continued success of the students and their families. Goal 4: Healthy Generations of Carson Students: Working alongside other Interact clubs across the Rotary district, Carson High Interact Club members helped collect crutches, walkers and other mobility devices in a hands-on service project called “Crutches for Africa.” The effort brought together students, community members and local organizations to support a shipment to Uganda for those with limited access to essential mobility equipment. Goal 5: Community in Full Partnership: During COVID, the Rotary Club of Carson City donated more than 800 air purifiers to all district teachers and staff. The money and donation was funded from an anonymous donor. The purifiers were designated as a gift that could be used either in the classroom or at home. Their commitment reflects the district's belief that strong community partnerships help create greater opportunities for every student and educator.
