Carson Club
Fellowship. Service. Support for Education.
The Rotary Club of Carson City was founded in 1938, and currently comprises about 70 members of the community.
We focus on engaging the New Generation to lift up our community, through programs like Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE), Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA), Rotary Eight Grade Leadership (REGL) and our annual high school Speech and Music Contests.
Over the years, we've supported music education by helping develop the Carson School District Orchestras, Symphony Youth Strings and the Carson High School and Carson Middle School jazz bands and marching bands.
We recognize the Student and Teacher of the Week, presented by School Superintendent Richard Stokes, and we award grant projects to outstanding programs within our local schools.
Our annual fundraiser is the Capital City Brewfest, held each June in downtown Carson City, where the community joins us for an afternoon of beer-tasting. live music and getting to see old friends from around the area.
