Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City were treated to refreshments and a private tour of Friends In Service Helping facilities this week. Executive Director, Jim Peckham, took the group through the Reception area, the Intake rooms, the Office, the Food Bank, and the Ross Medical Clinic. He explained that Friends In Service Helping (F.I.S.H.) is run by staff, and many volunteers. They offer a hand up to those in need in Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County, and Storey County. Donations from the community allow F.I.S.H. to provide food, shelter, health care, dental care, and life skills. The organization is changing behavior to change lives.
